The great darkness. Five hells, the longest sentence in the universe, and nothing below.
Five hells. Not five lakh, not five thousand. Five, holding the beings with the heaviest karma in the universe, for up to thirty-three sāgaropama.
That figure is worth holding beside Sarvārthasiddhi, the highest heaven, whose gods also live exactly thirty-three sāgaropama. The longest lives in the universe are at the two extremes, and neither is liberation.
Its proper name is Māghavatī; Mahātamaḥprabhā is the descriptive one, naming what the earth is made of or looks like. It holds 1 storey of hells stacked one below another.
