The nine Anudiśa
Nine abodes that Digambara texts place between the Graiveyaka and the Anuttara. Śvetāmbara texts do not count them, so they do not appear on this map.
Eight arranged at the directions and intermediate directions, with a ninth at the centre. Their gods live 32 sāgaropama, one step below Sarvārthasiddhi.
This is the clearest single point of difference between the two traditions' maps of the heavens. Digambara texts give 16 kalpas, 9 Graiveyaka, 9 Anudiśa and 5 Anuttara. Śvetāmbara texts give 12 kalpas, 9 Graiveyaka and 5 Anuttara, with no Anudiśa at all.
In Digambara reckoning only a samyagdṛṣṭi, a soul with right belief, is born here. Austerity alone can reach the The nine Graiveyaka; it cannot reach this.
