Ayodhyā, the capital of the first cakravartī, where the cakra arose and where the march came home sixty thousand years later.
The cakra arose in its armoury; the four living ratnas who are men arose in the city itself; the nine nidhis, the hide, the maṇi and the kākiṇī appeared in its treasury (§18). Bharata re-entered it by the east gate, and was consecrated in a pavilion to the north-east by thirty-two thousand kings, after which the city was "free from customs duty, free from taxes, free from fines" for twelve years (§17).
