Jaghanya Parītānanta

जघन्य परीतानन्त

The least of the Parītānanta, the 5th rank on the ladder of number.

Jain mathematics grades quantity into twenty-one kinds: three numerable, nine innumerable and nine infinite. Each rank comes in a least, a middle and a greatest, and each greatest is one less than the least of the rank above, so the twenty-one tile the whole of number without a gap.

This one is pinned to a real quantity: utkṛṣṭa asaṃkhyātāsaṃkhyāta + 1.
