Vimalanātha's city, the capital of southern Pāñcāla in the epics.

By Hemacandra's reckoning, as the atlas carries it, Vimalanātha was born here. Kampil in Farrukhabad district is ancient Kāmpilya, Draupadī's city in the Mahābhārata; the temple to Vimalanātha stands in the village.
