काकिणी
The cowrie. Four fingers each way, six-sided, twelve-edged, anvil-shaped, eight suvarṇas in weight; it destroys darkness for twelve yojana (§9; Jambūdvīpaprajñapti 54).
With it Bharata drew forty-nine circles of light in Tamisrā, one at every yojana, five hundred bows across, that lasted as long as he lived — and with it he wrote his name on the east face of Ṛṣabhakūṭa. A thousand yakṣas attend it.
