Niṣadha
निषध
The red-gold wall on the south side of Mahāvideha. Thirty-two parts in 190, the largest of the six.
Made of tapanīya, red gold, and the reason painted maps show a heavy vermilion bar here. It carries the lake Tigiñcha Draha and the goddess Dhṛti.
Two rivers fall from it: Harit south into Hari Kṣetra, and Sītodā north into Mahāvideha Kṣetra, where Sitodā becomes one of the two rivers that organise the entire central region.
Two of the four The four Gajadanta tusk-mountains spring from Niṣadha and run to Meru, enclosing Devakuru between them.
