Devakuru's northern twin, and the home of the tree that gives Jambūdvīpa its name.
Between the Gandhamādana and Mālyavān tusk-mountains, backed by Nīla. Identical to Devakuru in size, lifespan, height and abundance.
The Jambū tree stands here. It is not wood: the trunk is described as jewelled, eight yojana high, with a Jina shrine on its central branch and the god Anādṛta living in a palace among its boughs. A grove of subsidiary jambū trees surrounds it.
The whole continent takes its name from this one tree, which is a small thing to hang a cosmos on, and the texts are unembarrassed about it.
