The name-peak
Ṛṣabhakūṭa
ऋषभकूट
A golden peak in the north of Bharat where every cakravartī writes his name.
At the end of his conquest a cakravartī comes here and inscribes his name with the kākiṇī jewel. The tradition adds a detail that does most of the moral work of the story: the peak is already full. He must rub out an earlier name to make room for his own.
It stands 8 yojana high, of gold, with a shrine on the summit.
