Sixth in the string with Sambhūtavijaya, of the Prācīna gotra, and by tradition the last śrutakevalī — the last who held all fourteen pūrvas — and the author of the Kalpasūtra itself, whose list this is.
His four pupils, all Kāśyapa, are named: Godāsa, Agnidatta, Janadatta, Somadatta. Godāsa founded the Godāsa gaṇa with its four śākhās — Tāmraliptikā, Koṭivarṣīyā, Puṇḍravardhanīyā, Dāsīkharbaṭikā — the first branch off the trunk. His death at 170 years after Mahāvīra is tradition, and marked.
