11 · Upaśānta-moha

उपशान्तमोह

Delusion suppressed — the fall is certain. Held for 1 samaya at the least, antarmuhūrta at the most.

All of mohanīya suppressed, none of it destroyed. The suppressors' summit, and a dead end: the fall from here is certain, because what is held down rises again. A soul may climb the suppressors' ladder four times in all and twice in one birth.

Held for an antarmuhūrta, or a single samaya if death intervenes.
