The physique karma: 42 sub-types, bound for 8 muhūrta at the least and 20 koṭākoṭi sāgaropama at the most.

Forty-two sub-types in the sūtra, from destiny and class of birth through body, shape, colour and voice to the last, tīrthakaratva, the karma that makes a Tīrthaṅkara. The karma-grantha divides further and counts ninety-three, which is what brings the eight to 148; some Śvetāmbara reckonings reach 103 and 158. The atlas prints the sūtra's forty-two.

Its shortest hold, with gotra's, is eight muhūrta. It ends at the close of the fourteenth.
