The four that do not harm

Aghātiyā

अघातिया

Four karmas that shape a life without touching what the soul is: its feeling, its span, its body, its standing.

Vedanīya, āyu, nāma, gotra. A kevalī still carries all four, which is why an omniscient being still feels, still has a body, still has a lifespan to finish.

They end together at the close of the fourteenth rung: seventy-two in the penultimate moment and thirteen in the last, and the soul rises to Siddhaśilā.
