The sixty-four gardens

Four gardens beside every lake, five hundred yojana from the water: Aśoka, Saptacchadaka, Campaka and Cūta.
Each is 1,00,000 yojana long and 500 wide — a green ribbon down the whole side of a lake — and each is named for the tree that fills it: the aśoka, the saptacchada, the campaka and the cūta, the mango.
Four to a lake, sixteen to a complex, sixty-four across the island. They are not counted among the fifty-two because nothing stands on them; they are simply what the rest of Nandīśvara is made of. The continent is a park with temples in it.
