The aerial cars the gods travel in, set down on the outermost deck with everything else that was ridden.
Gods do not walk to a samavasaraṇa. Their vimānas come to rest at the silver rampart beside the mounts, and their riders go up on foot like everyone else.
The same word names the heavenly mansions themselves — the vimānas of the upper world are dwellings, not only vehicles.
