भद्रिलपुर

Śītalanātha's city, the one birthplace whose ground is least certain.

By Hemacandra's reckoning, as the atlas carries it, Śītalanātha was born here. The Śvetāmbara tīrtha stands at Hunterganj in Chatra district; other readings put the city elsewhere in the same country. The dot marks the tīrtha, not a settled site.

The dot on the map is Hunterganj, Chatra district, Jharkhand; the identification is disputed. Every site in this chapter is graded the same way, and the section says why.
