Two marble temples on Mount Abu, two centuries apart, carved until the stone reads as lace: Vimala Vasahi to Ādinātha, Lūṇa Vasahi to Neminātha.
Vimala Vasahi was built in 1031 by Vimala Śāh, a minister of the Solaṅkī king of Gujarat, to Ādinātha; Lūṇa Vasahi in 1230 by the brothers Vastupāla and Tejapāla, ministers too, in the name of Tejapāla's brother Lūṇiga, to Neminātha. Both are of white marble carried up the mountain, and both are known for ceilings carved to a depth no other temple in India attempts.
Three smaller temples stand with them. The date and the patrons are the historical ones; the map marks the group as a later tīrtha, apart from the sites the texts name.
