Neminātha's city, on the Yamunā: the city of the Yādavas, and so Kṛṣṇa's kin.

By Hemacandra's reckoning, as the atlas carries it, Neminātha was born here. Sauripur, by Bateshwar on the Yamunā in Agra district, is the tradition's Śauryapura, the Yādava city before the move to Dvārakā. The identification is the tradition's.
