The twenty-four images

Hemacandra's sentence is the whole specification: "The images, having the respective figures, size, and color, were like the Masters in person." Then the materials: "Sixteen of these were golden, two were lapis lazuli, two of crystal, two of cat's eye, and two of ruby." The navel, scalp, tongue, palate, śrīvatsa, nipples, soles and palms of every one were gold.

The atlas already knows the twenty-four's heights and complexions from the descent: sixteen golden, two red, two white, two blue, two dark — Hemacandra's five materials exactly. So the dais can be drawn as he describes it. Ṛṣabha at five hundred dhanuṣ; Mahāvīra at seven hāth, which is under two dhanuṣ. Stand them together and the last is one two-hundred-and-eighty-fifth of the first.

The order in which they stood on the dais is not recorded; the map places them in their own order, first to twenty-fourth, and says so.
