The thirty-two Ratikara

Thirty-two mountains of every kind of jewel, two in each gap between two lakes — and they are flat.
Each is 10,000 yojana square and only 1,000 yojana high, which makes it eighty-four times shorter than the Añjana it stands beside. The texts give its shape as a jhallarī — a flat cymbal. It is a disc, not a mountain in any ordinary sense.
Two stand between each two adjacent lakes: eight to each Añjana, thirty-two across the island. Each carries an eternal temple, the same size as the ones on peaks eighty-four times its height.
Like the Dadhimukha, they are not individually named. Four more Ratikara stand at the corners of the island, and those are a different matter.
