Beneath the jewelled layer lies the mud, eighty-four thousand yojana of it, the thickest of Ratnaprabhā's three layers.
Two classes live here that the layer above does not admit: the Asurakumāra among the Bhavanavāsī, and the Rākṣasa among the Vyantara. The Paramādhārmika, the Asurakumāra who torment the beings of the upper hells, set out from here.
Still no hell. The three layers are the whole reason the first earth is thicker than any other: two of them hold gods.
